You may have heard of ginger, olive oil, goji berries, acai, pomegranates, kale, berries, green tea and dark chocolate as superfoods that you should include in your diet.

And for sure, some of the above ARE superfoods. BUT, don’t overlook these budget-friendly foods that have pretty much all of the nutrients to keep you alive and healthy.

Sardines are super-convenient nutritional powerhouses. They have tons of protein (well, 24g) with 1600mg of omega 3s per can!!!! They are the perfect food for your lunch. I douse mine in Cholula and down them. Every. Day. So good.
